While Users Online is not technically a part of the Discussion Forum, it is a very useful tool when using the forum or the chat room. If, for instance, you have something you would like to communicate to a specific person, you can check the Users Online to find out if they are currently logged into the church website. Then, you can send a Private Message (PM) to them through the Discussion Forum to inform them or to invite them to chat in the Chat Room of your choosing. A "Users Online" module is located on the Home page, and each of the Discussion Forum pages. It will show the same information on all of the pages.
The "real time" Users Online" module is shown on the left. It has three sections.
The first section concerns Website Registrations. It shows who the last person was to register on the Antioch Website. It also shows how many people registered today, yesterday, and how many total registered users the Antioch Website has.
The second section shows how many people are currently logged into the Website. It shows how many visitors and how many registered members are logged on. If you are on the website but not "Logged In" it will count you as a visitor. It also shows a total of both visitors and logged-in members.
The last section shows who is currently logged into the website. As you get to know people's user names, you can see who is logged in at the same time as you are and have the possibility of contacting them through the website at that time. If you do not show up as currently online and you have logged in, just wait a minute and it will update to add your name.
People do not need to be logged in to receive Private Messages (PMs), though. If you send a PM to someone and they are not currently on the website, the discussion forum will let them know next time they log in that they have a private message waiting and they can open and read it.
People do need to be logged in to use the chat room, though.
