Go to the Discussion Forum page.  At the top of your forum (if you are logged on to the website) you will see a row of buttons.  When you hover over the buttons they will tell you what they are for.  You are going to want to click on the "My Settings" Button, which has a picture of a gear on it.

When you click on the button you will get a page that allows you to put in some personal information such as:

• If you want people to be able to see your e-mail address click the box that says "Display Email Address."  (Your email address should already be typed in behind that box).
• If you participate in Instant Messaging on the Internet, you can give your MSN, Yahoo, AIM, or ICQ user names
• Next you can put in your occupation and your interests or hobbies (if you would like for other members to be able to see them in order to get to know you a little better.

Next, click on the plus sign beside "User Settings."  In this section you can tell the forum how and what you want displayed.  Most things that are already typed in, you will just want to accept as is but you may want to do something with the following fields:

• Signature: This is a place where you can type your favorite Bible verse or quote or some other personal thing that you want associated with you.
• The next 5 boxes you will probably want checked.
• Avatar:  If you want a picture associated with your name, this is where you will choose that picture.  Then click on the word "Add."  (There are quite a few that you can choose from.  To see what they look like go to the Photo Gallery and look in the Christian Avatars album.)  If you have a personal avatar, please e-mail it to shelley at sostby@antioch-wichita.org and she will upload onto the website files and then you can go in and choose it.)

Now, click on the next section "Tracking/Subscription"  This is where you can choose which forums you are subscribed to.  This means that if someone posts on those forums, you will be notified by email.  For instance, if you want to be notified about all prayer requests, click on the plus sign in front of "Saints," then click on the box in front of "Prayer Requests."  If you want to be notified whenever somebody posts anything on the forum click the boxes in front of each of the categories and you will get an email whenever anyone posts anything on the forum.  You can pick as many or as few as you wish.

Last, click on the word "Update" and all your changes will be saved.
